SafetyCare

Safety Care, implement barcode recognition

SafetyCare is a family-run business established in 1994 and has proven to be a continuing success in providing Safety, Health and Hygiene products for all types of industries. Integrity and honesty are fundamental to their dedicated and committed team, who provide service nationwide. They aim to provide a next-day delivery service from their central warehouse in Dublin, which has earned them a reputation as one of the Ireland’s leading suppliers of safety, health and hygiene products.

SafetyCare began using TraX in a limited structure but, after an annual review by EIS, they defined several areas where both hardcopy and softcopy documents could be automatically filed and linked in TraX. Covering the complete sales process from order to invoice, every document is now captured. Orders are received by phone and fax, these documents are filed by order acknowledgement number using barcode recognition after scanning and order acknowledgements are filed electronically on a daily basis direct from Sage. Next is the Picking list, which is scanned and filed by barcode. The picking list is important, as some products can be replaced with customer agreement if the original is not in stock. This leads to a delivery docket, which is filed in TraX after scanning and then finally the original invoice is filed directly from Sage.

A number of these documents were previously printed and stapled together under the customer name and filed physically in the office, which wasted paper, time, space and money. TraX has saved endless hours of administration and driven greater efficiency across the entire operation.
