Boliden Tara Mines, based in Meath, is the largest Zinc Mine in Europe, employing over 300 staff. As part of a multinational group, Boliden, the Irish operation, is always looking at best practice and improvements within all areas of the business. They selected EIS to deliver an Automated Accounts Payable processing solution.
The implemented solution now processes over 2,000 invoices a month from over 200 different suppliers of varying currencies. Data and images are passed directly to the central document management system, TraX, and invoice data is then updated to the Oracle software in the Sweden office.
The invoice capture module was selected because of its structured approach to processing the information. This has enabled administration staff to refocus on other areas without having to key in data from multiple invoices on a daily basis.
